February 2006 -
Since the Frommers.com homepage was busy with several features and highlights, doing something different with the Hot Spot was essential in order to bring it to the forefront. A symbol of some sort or something abstract was often chosen. In some cases, where a symbol could not be found, a landmark was chosen and modified to appear in a different environment.
Colosseo di Miniatura was created during the development of the Frommers.com
March 2006 Hot Spot Rome, but it wasn't used because the detail was lost when reduced
to the final size of 135x100.
